Definition of the word: Un-Great Lakes
Un-Great Lakes - A series of oddly shaped, filthy and undesirable ponds located in the middle of old North America. Once rumored to contain huge sheets of ice, though there are none alive who still believe such rumors. The Un-Great Lakes are bordered on all sides by lush, fertile farmlands maintained on New Terra as a novelty primarily for tourists. The crops themselves are typically plowed under at the end of each tourist winter before the temperatures climb to intolerable levels, but the assorted "farmers markets" and "produce stands" continue selling replicas of the many adjacent crops imported in from the northernmost reaches of the Arctic Circle of Happy Warmth.
