Definition of the word: Spacefoot
Spacefoot - Similar to a regulation foot, measuring twelve inches. On many remote outposts of humanity where a rounded diet and availability of growth hormones are more consistent, many have adopted the bakers-foot, which measures thirteen-inches. A spacefoot differs from a traditional foot in that it entails neither weight nor pressure, regardless of the mass being measured. Whereas on New Terra where a footpound equals one PSI, a spacefoot typically equals zero PSI, or another comparable number likewise measured in atmospheres, but really just about zero. A Spacefoot is generally regarded as a nonsensical system of measurement. But due to its ability to make the dumb sound verbose and the mundane seem spacely, its use has nonetheless maintained a strong following. For an example of this word used in context, read this page.
