Definition of the word: Kiosk
Kiosk - A large retail outlet that employs the latest in cutting-edge nano-technology in order to profitably shrink their entire operation from the space of a five-story building spanning an entire city block, to fit conveniently within the confines of a rickety push-cart that may or may not contain a rollout mattress upon which the proprietor sleeps at night. All that has been historically required for a megashopalous to shrivel to an even more profitable micro-outlet, such as a kiosk, is the nearly effortless reduction of inventory from a half-million items to say ten or twenty. It's important to point out that miniaturization is not a cheap technology, so shoppers purchasing from a kiosk may expect to pay twenty, thirty, or a thousand percent markups on goods in order to offset the costs of doing business with such a technologically advanced merchant. These markups are especially conspicuous when it comes to beads in New Orleans, shot glasses in New New The Vegas, and Pearls in the undersea water park of New Old Hawaii.
