Sentient Plant - A large and growing segment of plants on New Terra have since been reclassified as sentient, despite their continued denial of voting and other rights typically associated with recognition as self-aware. Thanks to the ongoing repression of flora and their alienable rights, many potted, flowering varieties have created some of the foremost art and poetry in the sector, in part because very few members of the animal kingdom still engage in such practices.
