Definition of the word: Extinct

Extinct - The resolution of any species. As it is every race's and species' fate to come into being, existence is only the second act in the three-part stage play that is its sum history. The final act is extinction, and it is not until this happens that one can close the books on it and finalize the documentation of it. Since extinction is such a desirable fate for a species--especially a noble and glorious one, due to the fact that it precludes the possibility of a fall from grace in the future--the unconstitutional act of species and habitat preservation were all replaced with ones of unbridled development and outright crusades against creatures less viable (in terms of inter-species warfare) in order to facilitate and accelerate their inevitable and enviable fates.
